Jeff Green to sign a four year, $40 million contract?
If you are to believe NBA National Reporter Sam Amick, it would appear the Boston Celtics have almost resigned forward Jeff Green. If you are to continue to believe Sam Amick, you might also be flabbergasted to hear what that contract might be worth:

I’ll give you the key point about that long extended tweet:
On the Celtics front, agent David Falk continues to say he thinks a deal gets done with Boston for free agent forward Jeff Green. One source with knowledge of the talks says it may be in the four years, $40 million neighborhood, but it is not done.
To make this easy for you, I’m going to give you a list of other players around the league who have a cap hit of about $10 million over the remaining lives of their contract according to Storyteller Contracts
- Rajon Rondo ($46million total, granted that is a steal)
- Loul Deng ($40 million total)
- Andrew Bogut ($40 million total)
- Danny Granger ($40 million total)
Also, Gerald Wallace got basically the same amount of money from the Brooklyn Nets and I think most people will tell you that Gerald Wallace is a better player than Jeff Green.
Jeff Green is also coming off heart-surgery.
Jeff Green also averaged 9.8 points per game during his time with the Boston Celtics.
I’m going to be the next person to need heart surgery.
