Video: Scal lighting up Italian Serie A

Yes: What you see here is an actual highlight tape of Brian Scalabrine having a fantastic (for his standards) game for his Italian team Benetton Treviso. I don’t know what a Benetton Treviso is or that there is multiple Serie’s in Italy for basketball  is but I do know two things.

1. If I was Scal and I was the second leading scorer for my Italian League, I would highly contemplate staying in Italy for another year. Scal was famous in Boston for looking Irish (even though he has an Italian last name) and for being the towel waving 13th man in the suit during the playoffs.

2. Even I knew that Scal was never an awful shooter. Clearly, Italian teams don’t watch film because on most of his threes he had enough time to  drink a Guinness Birra Morena before putting up a shot. Either they are going to learn to guard the three or Scal will be the biggest star that league has probably ever had.

Still, nice to see someone doing something productive during the lockout.
