I don’t know how much this is really news considering that there seemed to be about a 90% certainty that Kevin Garnett was coming back to the Boston Celtics, but the newest reports came out today that Kevin Garnett was going to sign a new 3-year deal with the Boston Celtics.
Celtics to re-sign forward Kevin Garnett to a three-year, $34 million deal, sources tell Yahoo! Sports.

Fine, it sounds like a lot of money for a guy that will be almost 40 in three years, but there are two key almost facts:
1.) The likelihood that Garnett plays for more than two years on this contract is low considering that Paul Pierce is set to expire in two years
2.) The Celtics were not going to do much better and KG is a top five free-agent in this class. If you’re going off that, it’s arguably high-way robbery.
Now the Celtics are going to make one last run at the NBA title. I don’t think we would have it any other way.
